Busting Tory Welfare Myth

Interesting from the Resolution Foundation - more than two-thirds (68%) of working-age households in receipt of one of the benefits covered by the Autumn Statement announcement are in work.

Analysis of the DWP’s Family Resources Survey shows that there are around 11.5 million working-age households receiving one or more of the benefits and tax credits covered by the new up-rating.

Of these, around 7.9 million are in-work and just 3.7 million have no one in work

When the Tories claim to be taking away from the shirkers they are not being honest with the public.

Tories will be taking away from the poorest working people whilst rewarding a tax break for millionaires.

Wrong priorities for Britain

  1. Just more 'divide and rule' tactics from the tories.

I wish they had used the same arguments about the civl list/sovereign grant but I see that one slipped through nice and quietly.

They will be back to blaming the disabled again next week
